Gel Desensitizer is a syringe-able dentin tubule sealant. It consists of copolymer with a sulfonic acid group and oxalic acid in a Gel Desensitizer react chemically with calcium in dentin/enamel to form a protective polymer coating containing calcium oxalate crystals. This coating also contains fluoride and potassium salt, it tightly seals not only the tooth surface and dentinal tubules but also the internal micro-cracks reaching to dentin. It seals the dentinal tubules can suppress hypersensitivity symptom by reducing the fluid movement in the tubules, which is one of the etiologies of the hypersensitivity.

Gel Desensitizer is indicated for topical treatment of dental hypersensitivity. The use of Gel Desensitizer will NOT relieve the discomfort of pulpitis
