Tempotec
Temporary filling material in paste, Eugenol free
Composition
Zinc Oxide 46%, Calcium Sulfate 28%, Zinc Sulfate 13%, excipient ad 100%
Properties
Tempotec is a slightly radiopaque temporary filling material. Its excellent
adhesion to the dentine, sealing qualities and an adequate coefficient of
expansion (8%) ensure a hermetic filling. The material can be applied to the
cavity whether it is either moist or dry.
Indications
Temporary obturation. Temporary filling of cavities. A temporary setting of
root posts
Directions for use
- Clean and dry the walls of the cavity
- Apply Tempotec with a spatula and shape to suit
- The material begins to dry within 15 minutes after contact with the saliva
- The final setting is within less than 2 hours
- Ensure the patient does not exert pressure on the filling for at least 2 hours
After treatment, the material can easily be removed with a probe
Warning
When using this product, gloves should be worn. In case of contact with the
skin wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs, get medical
advice/attention. In case of contact with the eye rinse cautiously with soft,
clean water for 15 minutes, holding the eyelids open, and call a doctor
immediately.
In case of swallowing rinse the mouth with water, drink a lot
of water and consult a doctor.
Do not use in cases of known hypersensitive
to any of these ingredients. Avoid contact with the gums. May cause
irritation when in contact with body tissues other than dentine. May cause
hypersensitivity. Protect the product from heat or direct exposure to heat
sources. Do not use the product if you notice any signs of hardening. Do
not mix the material with any other product.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15°C and 35°C, Protected from direct
light and humidity. Close the jar carefully after use. Ensure that the jar is
hermetically sealed after use and stored in its original packaging.
